People like us.
And some of those people like to give away awards. That's our story, and we're sticking to it.We've had the honor of receiving a number of awards over the past several years for our work. But even so, we still say nothing's better than getting the job done, beating our best, and pleasing our customers - not even big plaques that we can hang over our desks can top it (although those are nice, too).

Show Award
As two-week veterans of the Mora Area Chamber of Commerce and first-year Home Show participants, even we were amazed to get second place in the 2006 Best Display contest. But then, we never expected to bring practically every item in the shop to the show - and that phone booth and massive telephone switch... well, that's a whole 'nother story. See pictures
Karen from the Chamber took note of our TSC ads, which feaured Underdog flying out of our phone booth, and customized our award to match. Pretty cool - especially considering that we we weren't even qualified due to our lack of Hawaiian apparel.

Back in 2003, Keith Thelen was chosen out of 'thousands of nominees' to recieve the Kohl's Kids who Care Northtown, Regional, and National awards. He was one of only ten people nationwide to recieve such honors.
The people at Kohl's based their decision on the writing of Paula Vanecek, director of what was then the Lone Pine Community Center. Keith had been volunteering there for the past three years at the time, leading the MISnT department he had created, with an emphasis on bringing technology to low-income residents via refurbished computers and the then-new 802.11b wireless network technology.

Awards (2002)
Keith again won the county and state Purple Ribbon awards for his work at Lone Pine, this time in relation to 802.11b wireless networking. His presentation applied wireless concepts as used in a WISP setting, and as used to deliver Interenet and intranet services to Center patrons.
Keith also was part of the National Tech Delegation in 2002, and was among of the primary authors of the Infrastructure paper - one of four that made up the State Tech Action plans for that year.
4-H
Awards (2001)
Keith won the county and state Purple Ribbon awards (the highest level) with a presentation describing the deployment of a LAN at Lone Pine, refurbishing computers for use as clients, the platform wars as seen at MISnT, equipping a server for hosting Lone Pine's services, and the Lone Pine @ Home program.
In an odd turn of events, the county-level presentation was delivered over the Internet as Keith had to be out of town during the week judging was to take place. It is thought to be one of (if not the) first to be done as such.
